Our Services
“When you have a busy life, its hard to consistently provide the attention and care that your pets can demand. With years of satisfied owners and loved pets, you can rely on us to care for your pets grooming needs.”
Bathing
Whether you need a medicated shampoo for skin issues or an especially gentle shampoo for dry itchy skin or just a nourishing shampoo for all skin & hair types, we have it! All of our shampoos are vitamin enriched with conditioning agents. Our professional shampoos are the perfect choice for thorough, gentle cleaning. Once your pet is bathed a vet recommended ear dry solution will be applied to prevent ear infections do to water getting into the ear canal.
FLEA TREATMENTS-We strongly encourage you as the owner to have your pet on a regular flea treatment. Whether you use a topical flea treatment (advantage, frontline etc.) or an oral treatment such as Bravecto, which you can get from your vet, we feel as a pet business this is the only way to combat against flea infestations. If your pet comes in with fleas we will notify you immediately of the issue and give your pet an all natural flea bath to isolate the spread of fleas within the shop.
Anal Expressing is done during the bath. We use the technique of expressing the anal glands from the outside of the rectum. Veterinarians express internally through the rectum. Sometimes expressing from the outside does not produce much, depending on the dog. We will refer you to your vet if we feel your dog may need to see a vet to have the expressing done internally.
Drying
After the bath, your pet will be hand dried with high powered blow dryers. This process lifts the undercoat away from skin to make the finishing of your pets grooming more effective in the brushing and clipper finishing of your pets coat. High powered, hand drying is also very fast and efficient and dramatically shortens your pets grooming time.
Nail Clipping & Ear Plucking
All pets get their nails clipped. Dremeling of your pets nails is an option that you can request.
Ear plucking is something that is recommended for most pets but is not always best for some pets. This procedure is done with hemostats and removes the hair from the inside of the ears. Removing the hair from the ears can prevent the build up of bacteria therefore reducing ear infections. Some pets have very thick hair within the ears and therefore can make the process difficult and painful for the animal. If we feel this is just too much stress for your animal we may opt to not do ear plucking.
Grooming
Once your pet is bathed and dried, it’s time for their hair cut. Every breed has a recommended hair style. However, we do cater to your needs as well as your pets needs. Many times we are limited to the condition of your pet when they come in. If you would like a specific clip we will do our best to make it happen. Getting your pet on a regular grooming schedule will ensure that your needs and your pets needs are met when it comes to the clip.
TIDY UP- It is not always necessary to give a complete hair cut at every visit. A great way to have your pets coat maintained between full groomings is a touch-up of sanitary areas, feet, face & light trimming.
